*Why is Kirsti not afraid of the soldiers?
I think Kirsti was not afraid of the soldiers because she was young and did not know who they were and why they were bad.

Well, I would have felt terrified and worried if a soldier came up to me and was talking to me,because I think during that time I don't think jewish people were allowed to walk on the streets. Also, if my parents were not there either I would not have felt good.

Well, I think he did the right thing to surrender because the nazis are bad people. I dont think I would die to save our leader, because I dont want to die. Lise had died. Her family had really changed after of there oldest daughter Lise had past away and would have felt sad.

I do not agree because everybody has to be courageous and fight to help her best friend.
The Rosens are jewish.
I think it will be about the nazis catching the jews.

The title of this chapter is "It Will Be a Long Night." Why was it a long night?

They knew it was going to be a long night because the nazis were planing to arrest the danish jews.
She has to spend the night with her because the nazis are going to arrest the jews.

Uncle Henrick's House is a good place to stay because it is very close to Sweden and it's also near the water to get to Sweden.
I felt scared for Ellen and Annemarie as they were hiding. I would not want to be in there if Nazis were coming.
Mama was scared because the soldiers might have suspected Kirsti to be jew and capture her.
That she was going to say that she was helping her sisters best friend hide from the nazis.

This time they had a problem on there hands and they had to help her friend they were not on a vacation. This was not just to see Uncle Henrick.

She does tell her what is in the basket because she would be frightened by it. She can't tell anyone, especially soldiers, what she doesn't know.

Yes, he did. He said that being brave is doing what you have to do even if you are scared. He said that she was very brave to take the packet to him even though she knew it was dangerous and she was scared.
